I thought about this for a while… what if people could buy a jigsaw puzzle item from the Toy Stop, and play with it in their condo?
Using the canvas feature, people can use pictures from the internet to create jigsaw puzzles for their enjoyment.
Modes
Condo puzzles could have different selectable game modes before starting such as these:
Free Play: You can work on the jigsaw puzzle alone. When you quit the puzzle, your progress will both be saved and visible to others in the condo.
Time Attack: Solve the puzzle with a running timer and earn new records. Can’t save your progress here.
Co-Op: Need a hand? Others can join you to solve the puzzle in this mode.
Gameplay
When the game starts, the puzzle will divide into pieces (all jigsaw shaped or all into smaller squares). As you solve the puzzle by left clicking and dragging the pieces, you can also view the completed puzzle to help you if needed. You can’t move pieces when the completed picture is displayed, however. Upon completion, the puzzle ends. You can play again by interacting with the puzzle once more.
Conclusion
With other condo games currently planned such as darts, air hockey, and checkers, jigsaw puzzles would make a great addition to the growing list of things to do in the condo, whether it be alone or with friends. If implemented and is proven successful, perhaps other puzzle games could be added as condo items too, such as a Rubik’s Cube parody, or a sliding tile puzzle.
