During the last Smash Ultimate Nintendo Direct, Mr. Sakurai revealed that the true winner of the 2015 fighter ballot was NOT Bayonetta, but Sora. Bayonetta (the current answer) was actually 2nd, but 1st “among the negotiable and realizable characters”. Bayonetta technically still won the ballot since they got added to Smash due to that result, but this is kind of a turnabout! The question is still technically correct since Sora isn’t among the possible answers, but not really…?
