If it went like this forever then most people would be able to join your game anyways
so just do friends of friends and no further, and even that should be its own option.

That is correct,

Trouble is that the way he is suggesting it with saying friends of friends of friends of friends of friends and so on, it seems that he is suggesting what is effectively a everyone can join button.
Which reminds me, what about a button that allows you to only allow specific people to join your games by adding their name to a list.

Honestly, Friends of Friends would be nice.
Doesn’t need to extend to almost everyone. Otherwise it’d be pointless.

Yes it is possible bad actors may add randos as friends to get around this.
I like to be believe friends’ repetition would be on line.

If anything else, Host can add their friends’ friend if they like’em enough. So it’s worth the risk. imo

Could easily go by the rule of “if you aren’t friends with the host, you can’t send invites”.
That would keep it as just “Friends of Friends”: You can invite their friends, they can invite their friends, but it can’t snowball beyond that.
