When blocking someone in Tower Unite the game hides their playermodel, and hides them from the text and voice chat.
That’s it.
The issue with this is, you still see their pets, particles, and projectiles.
So if you blocked someone because they kept spamming particles at you, it does nothing. Which makes the blocking feature useless for quite a few cases.

It also doesn’t hide you from them, so they can still find you and continue to harrass you around others, only now you can’t defend yourself from anything they happen to be saying.
I’ve not had issues myself, but I know others who have been continually stalked by people still finding ways to be a nuisance.
I’ve had a child harass me, spamming particles at me and saying I’ve done horrible things cause they thought I blocked them.
Wow. Players who are underage of 13 who are harassing players who 13 years and older is still an issue for Tower Unite.
I really wanted for the block user system to improve, but nothing like this when an underage player still harassing you over and over without following the PixelTail Games’ TOS and or Community Guidelines.
A parental control would do the trick but It was made only on the Steam platform.
I have no idea what to improve this system; players underage of 13 shouldn’t be allowed to play online. If COPPA has implemented the child online privacy in Tower Unite, I will be disappointed if COPPA do this against us.
The block system was beefed up a long while ago to block weapons and effects. It should be blocking particles and weapon effects - something must have broke at some point (maybe during SDNL weapon development?). I’ll be looking into the issues.
As for two way block, that is something that I’ve been wanting to add but it’s a bit of work.
Never did I mention them being under 13. The fight started because I told someone who was 15, that it’s not safe to put your age in your text hat. They did take it out but threw a fit at me and harassed me for about 10 minutes.
It’s been broken for awhile then. I’ve never seen it block weapons or particles, even pre SDNL being added.

Ah yes, a “kids game” where there is drink driving, gambling addiction, casual alcoholism, player character accessories that depict smoking tobacco, exceptionally vulgar chat content in US plaza servers particularly during late hours and only when the devs aren’t around, blood, gore, and last but not least; adult content on display in player-hosted rooms.

I was saying the same thing earlier. But I decline my idea of adding parental controls in TU, due the parental controls already existed on Steam.

Kids when they see a game with an arcade-y Pixar style aesthetic, accompanied by vibrant colours along with soft lighting and materials. See also: Fortnite, Dreamlight Valley, among others
I don’t get the Plaza style change, it’s so childish looking now. The new maps look like they belong in a play area and the tower lobby looks like Santa’s workshop.

I adore the new artstyle. The old artstyle barely even qualified as an artstyle. It was just “realistic but crap”, now it actually has personality.
Neither of those games have blood, gore, alcohol use, gambling, and literal porn, though.

Tower does not have a rating. It does have blood, gore (togglable), etc., but it does not have sexual content in it. User-generated servers have various warnings and permission settings.
