Dynamic Resolution Scale can be used to further increase performance on older devices, using the current Resolution Scale implemented in Tower Unite.
Dynamic Resolution Scale - I’ll be shortening to DRS - is exactly what it sounds like. DRS is the act of dynamically scaling the resolution of the current viewport of the game to achieve the FPS set by the user in order for a smoother and more comfortable experience. It’s generally used to prevent frame drops at the cost of visual clarity.
Why I think this should be added? Simple: Wider support for older systems and less capable hardware. Let’s not expect everybody to have perfect systems with perfect hardware capable of running demanding games at perfect framerates. Give some love to our friends down below.
