Hi, I am (still) Nick

Hello!

Admittedly, this is not my first introduction. I made an introduction post many moons ago but, after reading through it today, I came to the realisation that I am a completely different person nowadays. So I figured I would post an updated one!

I have been following Tower Unite since it first hit the Steam store in April of 2016. Since then, I have seen the game grow. A large chunk of my childhood was accompanied with Tower Unite, even though I’ve only really had the proper hardware to run it at a reasonable quality in the past year or so. Due to this, I fell out of activity both in-game and on the forums for the past few years. Back when I was more active, I actually held the ‘regular’ role a couple times throughout the years on the forums.

The reason for reintroducing myself is that I hope to reconnect with the community that played such a giant role in my life previously and hopefully stick around a lot more.
I will be brutally honest, my recent views on the game haven’t been the best. From an outside view, the flaws are evident. But I’m hoping that, by participating with suggestions, bug reports and interacting with the community, I can potentially contribute to the game’s journey, rather than just sit back and judge it.

My current project in Tower Unite is a rough recreation of my real life house but on a floating rock in space. It’s cooler than it sounds.
I also have a website at https://slickwine.uk, which houses my blog. Yes, I’m aware that it’s not 2007 and blogs aren’t cool anymore. But still, it’s a neat hobby. At the time of writing this, I have halted post writing in exchange for book writing, so that I have an excuse at work to not dress up on World Book Day, each year. Being a TA makes you do all sorts of ridiculous crap.

I hope I can fall back in love with the game that has given me so much and, in time, give something back to it.
