I actually signed up on the forums back in January, but I completely forgot about it. I only remembered it today after someone mentioned it after the group photo on Gmod Tower, so I thought I’d say hi! Here’s a quote from my profile.

I have been playing Gmod Tower since Tower 1. I donated to the server, backed Tower Unite on Kickstarter, and watched some of the developer streams on Twitch. My favorite mini-game in Gmod Tower/Tower Unite is Mini Golf. My favorite standalone game is Team Fortress 2, but I have many more hours in Garry’s Mod. I also livestream on YouTube Gaming.

I’m also a VR enthusiast. I’m kind of disappointing to hear they’re not supporting the Vive officially. It’s the only thing about Tower Unite I’m disappointed with so far. Also, Tower Unite comes 3 days after I get my Vive. Why you do this? :anguished: Seriously though, I’m exited for the game, and I hope to see you all in there!

They’re not not-supporting the Vive though. They have plans for adding VR at some point, it just isn’t something that is really a priority for Early Access tough. They also confirmed they would not be supporting Room-Scale VR because, well, it doesn’t fit the game design. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Ya, I understand. It still wanna look around my condo in vr though. Even though it doesn’t fit the game’s design, basic support would be much better than using vorpx.

As far as VR support goes (right now), UE4 actually has native rift support. I’ve tried launching the game with my DK2 and it works, but it’s not pretty. It’s kinda choppy at points and the UI makes it a horror experience for the rift.

So right now, you could probably get away with playing some parts with the rift, like walking around the plaza and whatnot but things like navigating menus makes my eyes hurt thinking about it
