Yes, because any AI-generated images indicate that the people who built the condo didn’t work their asses off and poured their hearts and souls into this build. That doesn’t make them any less creative or committed to the contest or this game.

You could have used premade stock images, or made simple signs in a very short time using free programs like GIMP, Inkscape, or paint.net.
It’s sad that you don’t consider the graphic design part of mapmaking to be a part of the creative process.

This is their third first place win in a row - First in April 2026 with first place, skipped May 2026 because they couldn’t win first place, won again on August 2026 with first place, and now wins the Halloween 2026 contest through a proxy and still gets first place.
I really have to call bullshit here. Whatever is going on here makes me not want to contribute to another one of these contests, I already felt demotivated enough to not bother this month when their request to use a proxy to enter this contest was approved.

Just to be clear again, the first place winner of the previous contest doesn’t win anything besides the participation prize even if they’re included in a co-op build. I don’t think its fair to not allow co-op builders to participate with or include someone who helped work on the build just because they won a previous contest.
For the voting, I can try something different next time to try and help mitigate repeat voting further than we do already because that is a concern, and I can look into doing voting through other platforms, I have just been trying to prevent making the contest more difficult to participate in since it already doesn’t get a lot of participation.

I have no skin in the game bc I have never submitted for a condo contest and didn’t vote this time around, but seeing something made with gen ai win first in a creative competition is really disappointing. More care should be taken to ensure that does not happen again

There are already measures to prevent AI use in the Art contests; i see no reason why they shouldn’t be included for the condo contests as well.

I mean there is a big difference between art which yes AI can 100% used to cheat with compared to a condo build where ai is only used as image fillers. you still have to physically build the condo with art it’s just putting in a prompt

whats the point of using ai for filler images?
you could do literally anything else for filler images. they are “filler” after all.

i mean if you need filler images pertaining to the condo why not I am not gonna make 50 different images just for a condo I’ll never touch again i am going to use google images which is almost nothing but Ai now

I completely understand not wanting to punish people for still wanting to contribute even when they’ve won previously, in an ideal world I’d be completely on your side here but my complaint is in how consistently they are winning these contests and how suspicious the whole deal is.
Nobody has won first place this many times in a row, it’s a statistical anomaly that this could even happen if you want to go with a good faith assumption. There are so many signs of foul play here (which I reported to you last time via private messages) that contributing further feels actually pointless - the prize or position isn’t a big thing to me at least, but it sure is a great motivator to know that you could be the first place winner.
You highlight the participation concerns so let me ask a question - would you still participate in this contest if you saw what was going on here? Would you still go all out on an entry knowing that first place has basically already been decided? Because I sure as hell wouldn’t.
