How far in advance of the shutdown itself would you recommend I join in order to catch any events that may be running that evening?
The servers will most likely be full most of the day. Just get on whenever and celebrate the end of times.
Hoping to join you all in saying farewell to GMod Tower tomorrow. GMod Tower was something completely different in Garry’s Mod, a truly unique experience. I’ll be moving over to Tower Unite, but I’m going to miss GMod Tower.
RIP GMod Tower. Thank you for all of the fun times.
Hello Tower Unite. I am looking forward to all of the fun times.
Semi-related question: The countdown on the Steam page lists Tower Unite as releasing at midnight GMT, which is around 9 hours before GMTower shuts down. Is this intentional?
Caboose said it will launch before 5pm PDT and that the steam countdown is just for the date not hour. Check this to see what that is in your timezone: http://bit.ly/1VBvoBS
Would the server hardware be capable of supporting a temporary increase in the player cap prior to the shutdown? It’d be a bit a bit disappointing for the various UK players (and other inconvenient timezones) to wake up early and find a full server, but on the other hand the lag has been a bit more noticeable as of late so I’m not sure if increasing the player count would end up pushing it over the edge.
I’m ready for this
