For any Europeans here who didn’t know (like me), 12AM April 8, 2016 Pacific Daylight Time is 8AM April 8, 2016 Greenwich Mean Time. GMT is 8 hours ahead of PDT, so whenever Pixeltail announces they’re gonna start streaming or doing the celebration thing, you can calculate it for your local time zone based off of that.

There is a way to disable the closing note, type gmt_hideshutdown 1 in console.

Would it be feasible to temporarily expand the player limit higher than it is now for the duration of the event?
I suspect that if it stays at 64 then a lot of people are going to have trouble getting in, but I haven’t used the GMod server software enough to know what kind of limits it imposes on player counts (and of course the GMTower software and the server hardware are also factors).

Huh, could’ve sworn I got blocked from connecting when it showed 64/64 (or once or twice 65/64) a few times, but then again I haven’t been playing incredibly long so I could easily have misunderstood some technical aspects of the server.

Nah, that was waaaay before my time. Perhaps I was mistaken in some way, or GMod was messing around with not letting me connect even though the server would have accepted my connection; if the more experienced users here say it works then I’ll take your word for it.

Since I’m in the WEST Timezone I will most likely not be able to attend the second half of the event since it runs from Midnight to 7 AM here. Even if I do end up staying awake, I will probably be fully life-less during the whole day of Saturday. 
I will definitely be present in the first hours tough. It’s been some great months and I know the next months will be even greater. It’s been fun following the game’s development and being of the game’s community and I haven’t got anything more to say other than to congratule you guys for your hard work and for your first commercial release!

Its been a great experience on GMT since I started in 2011, I’ve made many great friends and I hope I can make more in TU. Thank you very much for GMT and I hope that Tower Unite is a successful commercial release and its been a great experience being involved with the game’s development since the first alpha release.
Although the shut down is at 7am for me, so I won;t be able to make its final moments which is a real shame, as I would if I could 
. I hope someone records or streams the final moments so I can watch it back after TU releases.

i will miss Gmod Tower i started sometime October/November of 2014 i made so many friends since then and i didn’t like tower untie when u guys announced it i thought it was so soon since lobby 2 came out but after awhile i kinda grew to like to game so im gonna get it tomorrow and try it out also thanks for the 2/years of fun iv had at The Tower it was the best cant wait to make new friends and memories in tower unite!!
