Future Workshop Custom Map Support

I know this question is a bit early but I wanted to ask:
When we get the ability to add custom maps for game worlds:

  1. Will the maps have to be built in engine or will there be a userfriendly level editor?

  2. Will it be possible to build levels in unity and export them or will they have to be built in unreal?

Last time I asked about this Mac responded with a brief reply and I’m sure it will be a while before custom maps are supported.

I can’t say I’ve seen anything on their plans for importing levels though.

Our plan (while not completely concrete) is to have an in-game map editor similar to that of how the condos work.

Holy shit, pardon my french, that sounds amazing.

This seems like a very good compromise between useability and freedom. The condo tools are already easy to use, and they’ve already proven more than apt to create amazing spaces. I’m very interested to see how this turns out.

It might be using the gizmos too.

Ohh, I would like using an in-game editor. I already have so many ideas on what I could do. I was going to create my idea on flatgrass, but if custom maps will be coming at some point, that’ll make it so much better.
