Idea: Instead of new individual tables for different dice/card games, how about a table that does all of it? When you sit at the table with others, all players would have to agree on a chosen game, at which point you play it.
Yeahh, no. Something like this already exists and it’s called Tabletop Simulator. You can play right now on Steam. I think it will be much, much better if all the games actually do have their own items/tables. This could be cool if we got it as an separate item for custom games alongside the regular ones though - I can see that much if we really wanted something like this to be real
But why not, though? The concept exists in other games not dedicated exclusively to board games. Think Toontown and the picnic tables you can play games like connect four and chinese checkers on.
I like the idea of having dedicated tables as separate items better than having all games in one place and then deciding which to play - That’s my first point, which I admit, is rather simple. Then again, like I said, who said this couldn’t exist as it’s own item? I’m not completely against the idea, but I do think that really not everyone wants to have a table that has ALL the options on it, rather than just one - The whole thing would become much worse if you couldn’t lock the separate games on said table with all of them on it.
(Heavily edited part of the response since I partially misread the original suggestion)
having a version that has multiple games would be good for space efficiency, if you could lock what games could be played that would make it a lot simpler than having a bunch of similar items.
biggest downside to this system is having it be on a table. if it was more like an invisible object that you could place down, maybe.
Not everyone feels the need to be saving up space in their Condo and having separate objects can feel more cool in a way. I can understand where this is coming from but at the same time, I have already said earlier that if we had both an option for an freeform table alongside the separate tables that would be an solution perfect for both sides. Why not go for this instead? I’m not sure if that would take a whole lot of extra development time to make real. (And yeah, I got over ignoring you a long time ago now. Sorry for that back then)
