Probably just for laughs, really. It’s funny watching a bunch of oddly dressed mortals eagerly overturn ancient gravestones and desecrate innocent corpses just to sacrifice them to an unknown but most likely not particularly generous fate just for some spookily themed knick knacks.

I think it likes to torture us, by not giving us ghost pets, and give us a fuck ton of its cauldron babies instead.

Considering they’re likely innocent souls bound for eternity to some idiot who thought it would be a good idea to throw rotting remains into a pot boiling over with hatred and evil, I’d say yes. They are knick knacks.
