'EnableVideo' on Trigger Volumes

I’d love a new action option ‘EnableVideo’ on Trigger volume in connections section that allows us see what’s playing on the monitor without the need to interact with monitor!! Like this~

This would be extremely useful for game events, sports, bowling, parties, concerts, malls, and more. Imagine entering a mall via entrance; could come with a trigger volume that enables all of TVs and monitors inside mall for you. Same with entering a concert !!

In addition to that, DisableVideo option as well would be nice, just if someone already had media players enabled but didn’t want to go all the way back to where they are to disable 'em.

Trigger volumes aren’t exactly related here. You’re asking for a new event (input) on media players.

Due to the nature of what people can put onto the Media Players, we’ve always felt that the required E press on a Media Player was a form of giving consent to potentially view whatever is on said Media Player.

Having a trigger volume that would automatically bypass that worries me, personally.

Yeah pretty much, that would be nice to have.

You do make a very good point actually
Last week, I and others did Miku Expo event, some people came to main stage to watch; not knowing that they had to interact with monitor in the lobby to see all of monitors play which is why I was hoping for something like this.

There gotta be a better way, though ; ___ ;
Like can we have new event inputs for interacting with a monitor/video players that could Hide / Unhide canvas stuff / volumes?

Someone could have to interact with a video player to enter a building; could be moved by activated push volumes or gets teleported inside.

I was thinking the Media Volume would have a user setting on how you want them to activate.

oh, that’s smart and simple- Enter the Media Volume and it’d ask you if you want to activate all of video players; is that right? I like this idea!!

This sounds nice actually. Add to that felicity latest answer and that might be solution to the whole bypassing user consent problem.

We can actually make this with the workshop sound emitter. I haven’t seen any abuses yet?
For a pretty simple example: Jump scare with workshop sounds can be a thing already since they were added, no need for a TV or other media player to do this.

Allowing the Press E bypass on media player wouldn’t be the worst idea.

I first did not know there was a global TV to turn on that day… :eyes:

Just a side note: It was still a great concert.
