Elimination Mini Golf!

This would sort be an addition to the Mini-Golf game mode. It would work like this. You can do this now in a sort of user way but I thought it would be cool if they added it in as an actual game mode expansion.

It works like this, you know how in mini-golf once you go past the shots to get a par? You’re scoreboard will no longer have the blue number and will have the red number? Well I was thinking once someone gets a red number they will automatically get kicked from the session, and if you complete the full course without getting kicked you could get like a 1K coins prize or something? This was just a thought of mine and I was wondering what you people would think?

  • Edit One *

For those who are saying that it would ruin the experience for newer players, There should be a menu at the start of the game for the host to select if they want to do elimination mode or normal mode, so that was less experienced players can get there practice in and build there way up to it.

  • Edit Two *

So I go into mini-golf yano… For a little bit of yano a laugh… and a player known as Mikusch joins and starts giving it… well just look at the screen shots… Just thought I’d show what type of person he is outside of the forums… So yeah lmao

(There were two screenshots here of a certain player giving it large about my suggestion, I have been told to remove these.)

  • Edit Three *

Instead of kicking them out of the game, they would be specing the game!

thats a terrible idea, imagine a new player getting into a game of minigolf and getting kicked after doing the first hole

It’s not like it’s a suggestion to make it the default game mode.

I like it.

Hmm, the games would have to be locked when started, but other than that, I like the idea, as long as it’s optional  adds a lot of tension :3

Idk… Some people (totally not me) have problems with not having par because “Its all the games fault I am an excelent minigolfer what are you talking about”

You know… I already though about this as a mutator but not that the player get kicked of session (don’t ruin that kind of fun) but just can’t play and have to wait for the next hole if not completed by par or lower

Yeah so you would select the game mode at the start, so the menu after picking you’re ball colour it could say like " Normal mode " and " Elimination mode " Get me?

Still sounds like a stupid idea IMO, just add that bonus you talked about to the normal minigame mode and it’s all good. Having a gamemode that kicks out players for being bad at the game doesn’t really encourage the social interactions that Tower Unite is supposed to offer.

That’s what I mean, if it was optional and locked from the beginning I don’t see why it can’t be done and would add a sort of competitive element to the game play.

Read the edit.

You don’t get my point, do you? Even if it is optional, it seems really dumb to just crush the idea of social interaction between players.

If you get forced into some sort of spectator mode, still being able to communicate with the other players… sure. I’d accept that (even though a lot of people will likely leave due to this too). But kicking players for being bad at the game just ends up with one person playing alone and this is definetely NOT what the devs want for the game.

The Idea can be altered alot to what the community want… It’s just an Idea mate calm down…

Thing is, if you’d want the normal social side, you could just play the normal minigolf? No one would be forcing you :S

You two just don’t get it

They wouldn’t have to remove the interaction between players, socially. Players wouldn’t have to be kicked from the game, they could still interact through chat and perhaps some other little features. If anything, this kind of additional ‘gametype’ could encourage more competitive play between friends.

I 100% agree with the NO KICKING. You’ve been kicked for ‘sucking’ would be extremely horrible to anyone.

yeahh no kicking would make sense, it should be optional to leave the game

Also, calling peoples ideas stupid and terrible isn’t very nice

If everyone did that, no one would suggest anything

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But, remember to criticize ideas, not people.

Taken from the community guidelines. Also it’s my personal opinion, if you can’t handle that you shouldn’t use the internet

Look at the screenshots posted though , dont be a dick, simple as. Saying someones suggestion is “fucking trash” and “its fucking cancer” doesn’t really fit into the community spirit you support…

Exactly.
