Double Fishing EXP doesn't give double EXP

For the past 2 hours I’ve been fishing, but I haven’t been getting the double EXP, I’m just getting the base rates.

See bottom of this report for screenshots. I started with 79,450 fishing EXP before testing, I caught 3 fish and restarted my game after the 2nd fish. I got 1,650 EXP instead of the 3,300 I expected to have.

Relogging or restarting didn’t help.

Steps to Reproduce

I have no idea how to reproduce this.

What I expected to happen

To have gotten the double EXP.

What happened

I got the base rates for catches.

Is your main menu showing that there is a double fishing EXP event on going?

Hey Mac, yesterday I don’t think it was but it does now. I just tested and I got the double EXP.

What I find so weird is that I was playing with someone and he was getting the DXP.
