Dog ate my exam results

The only difficulty I find in English is the, just sometimes, awkward pronunciation.

I might have been a bit unfair in my assertion as I currently know more of Spanish than I do German, but I see what you mean. Gender in language NEVER made sense, and I thought Spanish had it bad with two articles, but German has three!

The issues with German for me come with remembering all of the gender rules for cases. Or remembering the article for every single noun ever. It seems every issue I have with German is tied back to gender.

Meanwhile, English master race just has “the”.

(Good discussion for the Language thread, too)

Also the random exceptions to rules like plural of mouse is mice and louse to lice, but not house to hice. The lack of noun cases also makes some things very odd compared to other languages. La malfacilaĵo en lerni lingvojn estis kial Esperanto estis inventita. Domaĝo neniam kaptita sur.

And you have to do a cheesy accent for the speaking exam.
