Title. I’ve found in maps like house and other more demanding maps that using -d3d10 as a launch option makes my FPS skyrocket from an average of 8-9 fps on house to 40+ fps. This option has also helped me with the more demanding reflections like mirrors, and instead of cutting my FPS in half when I look at a mirror it hardly makes a dent.
Pretty simple but substantial FPS boost for such an easy option. So far it hasn’t made a single negative gameplay impact for this game.
This setting actually helped the freezes i get when moving into each area in the plaza, thank you!!
Holy cannoli, this doubled my framerate, with higher than normal graphical settings. Thanks! No visual effects I’ve noticed, but a great performance boost.
I got freezes every 15 seconds in plaza before and now I have a constant 60 to 100 fps! Wow.
Yeah DX11 is pretty demanding.
any plans for DX12? lol
We have no plans for Vulkan or DirectX 12 at this time.
I know I have no reason to be excited but this is single handedly the biggest impact I have ever made that has affected the most people ever
I feel bad because I remember struggling to run games and now I’m spoiled by a Ryzen 5 1600x processor, 16gb of ram, an SSD, and a gtx 980ti. But yeah, my buddy’s got a little bit of a slower PC, and any time he can run DX10, the game will usually double in framerate. I always like when games offer you to play in both. Super helpful for the many people who aren’t spoiled by excessively powerful computers.
what’s next? directx9? directx8? 1990s lowpoly mode?
LEGO island asked to install directx5, so if it’s compatible I’m ready
Wow. Shout-out to Lego Island. Haven’t played that in probably 20 years
