Dev Log for November 18th, 2025

Hello everyone and welcome to the Tower Unite Dev Log for November 18th, 2025!

As has been the case in our past couple of Dev Logs, we’ve been hard at work on a project outside of Tower and are near the point of finally giving everyone the inside scoop on it! We appreciate everyone’s patience and hope you all have been having fun in Tower in the mean time.

But, in terms of Tower Unite development, we’ve been able to tackle various parts of the game since the last dev log, so let’s get into that, along with other TU events!

:camera_flash: November 2025 Condo Contest - Free Build

We have a Condo Contest ending very soon! It’s a free build contest so participants can submit a build with any theme they like. Check out the entries, rules, and prizes here!

:building_construction: TU DEVELOPMENT

Work on our side project is wrapping up, and we’re really really excited to share it with you soon! We’ve been very busy doing the final touches on it. Unfortunately, while we didn’t intend for it to affect Tower development at all, we got very passionate about the project and put a lot of heart in into.

Now that the bulk work is done with it, we’ll be back to Tower development. Keep in mind that a lot of the stuff we made on our side project has already turned into new Tower items and we’ll continue to pair the two projects together. We appreciate everyone’s patience.

We’re eager to get back into Tower development with Arcade: Phase 3, Accelerate SDK, Cooking, and other roadmap objectives as soon as we can. As you saw in previous developer logs, we’ve already made a lot of progress on these.

@Nuclearxpotato has been on a roll with a bunch of fixes and improvements to Tower Unite in the mean time, so we wanted to shout him out! The team’s been doing some major fixes and other developments as well, which we’ll go over too.

So, let’s catch up since last time and see what’s been going on!

:video_game: Game World Polish

We’re continuing with updates to Virus & SDNL! These include both visual polish and changes to weapons and features of the games. Here’s some of what we’ve been working on:

  • T-posing issues while sliding
  • Visual / Material fixes with weapons
  • SDNL Announcer Adjustments (including volume sliders)

:sports_medal: Milestone Items

We’ve made some improvements to existing milestone items like the Throwable Shrimp and The Infection milestones. We’re also working on upcoming milestone items, which you can follow the progress of on our Trello here.

Upcoming milestone items include:

  • SDNL milestones
  • Accelerate milestones
  • Nightclub milestones
  • Boardwalk milestones
  • Condo milestones
  • Casino: Throwable Dice
  • Casino: Throwable Cards
  • Unfinished Plaza milestones

:house_with_garden: Condo Fixes

Various fixes were made to the Condo system. A major optimization to I/O was completed, which will make I/O connections run more efficiently.

There were also many fixes to materials and collision issues. Some notable item additions include:

  • a new version of the Soda Vending Machine item was added (with new variants)
  • adjustments to the scale and art of the Kitchen Counter items.
  • as well as the addition, updates, and fixes to the Victorian item set, added with the Halloween update

:framed_picture: Contest Posters Added

In case you missed it, in Hotfix 1.1.1.2, we finally added the posters that were made during the Workshop Rental Store Poster Art contest! We’re so happy to finally have them in game and hope you guys have been able to check them out too.

They’re located all around the store where we had space!

:wrapped_gift: Early Access Items Added

Another addition you might have missed was the Early Access items, which were added in Hot Fix 1.1.1.2. These items are distributed automatically if you played the game during its Early Access period!

More milestones yaaaaay!!

I’d love an accelerate milestone that lets you have the dragon powerup as a mount/”vehicle“ item :backhand_index_pointing_right::backhand_index_pointing_left:… any excuse to have more of the dragon in my life!!! :two_hearts:

Is that “Dino Ride” gonna be a type of milestone, or a condo feature?

The Dino pic is of an SDNL milestone which allows you to morph into the Raptor from Dino Battle. Like the Vehicles and Dolphin, you can enable seats for other players.

Which would be real useful if: [1.1.1.1] Host does not spawn with weapons after first respawn was fixed

Can’t unlock the milestones if the Game World is broken

Not to neg at you in particular or anything @Nuclearxpotato, I’ll be real with you, you’re gen one of the cool ones, and I mean it.

My beef is with the ones currently shirking/shying away from their responsibilities with the side project. If TU and its success was that important, then surely it would be prioritised.

TU is in decline, and if things aren’t course corrected, I have a feeling that it’ll shut down in the next 5 years due to one or more of A. running out of funding, and B. lack of players.

i am absolutely looking forward to new milestone stuff, it’s one of my favorite things about tower unite!! <3 it’s also nice being rewarded just playing the game!! Also can’t wait to see what you got in store for christmas this year ^o^

That’s absolutely not true at all. I’ve been working on the SDNL issues with Nuclearxpotato and the bug is not a simple one, but we’ve been finally able to find the root cause of the issue and I’ve been working on a fix. I’m not going to mark it’s done on Trello until the bug is completely resolved.
