Hello everyone, and welcome to the Tower Unite Dev Log for August 4th, 2025! Since the last dev log, we released Dedicated Condos, a hot fix, and have been hard at work on the next update, which will be coming soon!
Condo Pets
Condo Pets will be the next update now that we have dedicated Condos out! This update will be arriving soon, and will include the addition of the Dog Park and Cafe Miaou in the Plaza, the pet adoption mechanic, and lovable pets in the Condos!
We’re really excited to get this update out, and we hope you all are too!
Global Chat
The next update marks the return of global chat!
Global chat offers the option to chat with other users outside the bounds of an individual server! So, you can access global chat and interact with users while you’re in different parts of the game, like talking to players in the Plaza while you’re in the Condos or Game Worlds!
We’re really happy for this feature to return and hope it adds to the social experience once more for everyone!
Global Chat also brings back Game World notifications when a player starts a public game world server!
Dedicated Condos
For the Hot Fix, we addressed several issues with item locking, collision, load in issues, copycat, server title and max players displaying on the control panel.
Better Condo Filters
For the next update, we’ve added much-requested server filter buttons for “player hosted,” “dedicated,” and “friends” servers as well as enhancements to the Dedicated Condo Launcher!
Enhanced Dedicated Windows Launcher
For those of you that use the Windows Launcher for Dedicated Condos, we’ve added some enhancements to the launcher (should be out in a day or so).
You can now have per-Condo server profiles, which helps with running multiple versions of your Condos.
We’ve also added other features to the launcher such as: Chat Log (which updates in real time), Bans Editor, Custom Condo Map name setting, and Client Port setting.
We’re working on more bug fixes with copycat, and Condo Currency.
Arcade: Phase 3
Progress is being made on both 2D and 3D artwork for the Arcade: Phase 3 machines! 3D artwork was completed on a new basketball hoop game, and we’ve been working on a new ramp ball-drop game as well as a new ball grid arcade game.
Progress was made on the cabinet artwork for the lock-picking game, now called “Lockpick Larry,” and the new whack-style game “Raptor Rampage.”
Game Worlds
We made some improvements to single-player pausing in the Game Worlds. Zombie Massacre should now pause correctly in single-player mode, and we’ve added single-player pausing support to Virus (horde mode), Minigolf, Ball Race, and Accelerate.
Optimizations
In the last hot fix, lots of LOD optimizations were completed! These include improved LODs for round concrete trash bins, improved LODs and reduced drawcalls for wall sconce lamp, and improved LODs, drawcalls, and collisions for various items.
The game engine should now handle masked material’s opacity in the pre-pass now, as well, optimizing translucency and the game’s ability to handle foliage overall. This was broken in the previous engine upgrade.
New Items
New items included in the next update are: Sectional Diner Booth Seats (Single, Double, Corner), Diner Chair, Fancy Footrest, Vase (Trimmed), Cutesy Cafe Accent Table, Cutesy Cafe Table, Cutesy Cafe Ottoman, and Cutesy Cafe Chair!

Also, thanks so much to everyone who participated in our Event Calendar survey! We’re testing out standardized event days (like “bowling Mondays”) since people were overwhelmingly interested in or open to that on the survey!
