I know this is likely besides the point, since workshop model creators can make their own models with their own clothing, but would it be worth it to add clothing section and clothes like shirts/pants in general to buy at the customization store? It would be much more fun and easy to equip your default/custom player model with in-game shirts/pants than to keep commissioning/making your own version of a player model with other clothes and have to upload 3 different versions of basically same model. It would be less work for model makers out there and even further expanded customization for players themselves. Not everyone wants to spend real money for just a variaton of an already existing model either.
they would only be able to really do this for the defaults, with the varying size of custom avatars, i doubt this will be of any use… and the free alternative is to learn blender and make your own.
I do agree about learning modelling, yes, but many people would most likely also prefer to have clothes in the game itself. Also, maybe some sort of scaling system for the clothes on varying sizes of humanoid models would work?
Clothing is planned for the default playermodels:
Would be kinda cool to have it for workshop playermodels too but I feel like itd be kind of a nightmare to apply clothing offsets to a lot of models without clipping or looking off, even if the devs add variations to each clothing item for different body types or something
I was thinking of an automatic fit system, say based around detecting edge/shape of model, something like that. I am not sure how possible would that be, if at all but who knows?
