Controller disable setting

I know this is more of a niche problem for people with higher end PCs, but when I’m hosting a condo event, or a long condo session, I tend to tab out and do other stuff, sometimes it’s web stuff or YouTube, but since my PC can handle it, it’s also sometimes playing another game at the same time. The problem is, while tabbed out, Tower still intakes all controller inputs, so I’m not able to do anything that requires a controller to play.

I request one of two solutions please.

1: A setting under controller section to disabled controller support in game.
2: Make Tower not watch controller input when you’re tabbed out of it.

#2 is obviously preferred.

Wait, so that is an actual thing that happens? If so, this is really kind of dumb that, for as long as Tower has been in development so far, something this simple has not been implemented. Definitely catch a vote.
