[Condo I/O] Location Volume Option to Hide HUD

Okay so. I’m currently making a Hide & Seek Map which uses the Hide Name Tags feature of Location Volumes, which works super well.

However during testing, I realized that if two Hiders wanted to talk to eachother using Proximity Chat, it would be super easy for the Seeker to find them as not only do their names pop up on the side but they both get the big orange speakers above their heads.

My immediate solution was to ask everyone to use F5 but sadly that still displays the orange speaker icon.

Is this something we could potentially see in the future? :pray:t3:

EDIT: This would also prevent people from cheating in the rare case that they have the Equippable Radar reward from the 700k Virus Milestone!

Yeah this would be a great thing to have. Even with F5 you can you can see the overhead speaker icon when someone is on voice. The ability to hide it and other HUD things with a volume would be such a great addition.

This isnt a replacement for your suggestion cause thats a necessary imo but does turning off floating chat in hud settings under chat fix this for the time being?

Thanks for the suggestion but sadly that just disables the actual floating chat bubbles :confused:

Sorry to bump this, I’m back working on this same map now that it’s coming up to Halloween again and still wish for Location Volumes to be able to hide those big orange speaker icons.

My dream ask would be for some kind of “immersive mode” where all HUD except interaction prompts are hidden, great for story maps and other niche things like this but I understand the demand for this sort of thing is low.

I wouldn’t say that it is low at all, considering your suggestion has gotten 16 votes total. Maybe immersive mode setting would be a bit more niche, but I think there would still be people who would appreciate that :slight_smile:

I want this and the ability to disable hot bar items completely.

While on this general topic, having the ability to have name tags of people inside a location volume be hidden to people outside the volume would be great.

I thought this is how it worked then I first used it for a secret room, only to realize that just because I can’t see name tags when inside the volume, doesn’t mean they can’t still see mine.
