This bug has been a thing since 2023 and it still hasn’t been fixed.

I’d like to add to this that this also tends to happen when you have both the edit menu and gizmo open at the same time.

[0.17.0.1] Inventory Search Bar causes hotkey issues

Using the searchbar in inventory, then clicking off the inventory and selecting an object causes the inventory to “freeze”, causing hotkeys in things like the gizmo to stop working. For example, when this bug occurs, you cannot press “E” to switch to “Rotate” mode in the Gizmo, because it is instead changing the snapping mode in the inventory. There is a very specific issue where snapping will turn on when doing specific sequences of hotkeys in the gizmo while there is text in the inventory search bar. Steps to Reproduce Type anything into the search bar. Click on any condo object to open the gizmo (Do not close the inventory tab) Press E to activate rotation mode _(If you did this “correctly” it should not work.) Press R then Q. If snapping did not turn on, try E,R,Q,E,R,Q until snapping turns on. If snapping is activating, you do …

When using relative rotation on an object, the object likes to jump around to strange positions. It seems to get more frequent the more the object is rotated. Notes / Media
