Hello, I have a suggestion (I was considering putting it in bug report but I think this is intentional), and an issue I have had ever since I started playing this game (October 2021).
The current system for displaying a players current latency in numbers (or ping), is broken. On lower latency connections, it will display accurately enough.
However, if you play on a host or plaza that is far from your country, the latency that is shown is inaccurate and deceptive. It shows to be a much smaller number than the actual measured latency the player feels.
Tower Unite is the only game out of many I have played that fakes their ping to be lower than it is, and it is very misleading to people. As someone who plays almost exclusively on higher latency lobbies due to the country I am in, it annoys me greatly that I have to guesstimate my actual ping.
In any other game I play as an example, US servers can range from 160-240ms depending on location. In Tower Unite, I barely see game worlds go past 130ms displayed at max, yet I can actively feel the delay is much worse just by playing.
I think this is deceptive because people get a false sense of what their connection actually is, if they are not aware of their true latency, they may think it is a game issue, their internet etc because they are not getting the accurate latency, so they think their delay should be lower.
This also affects Plaza, but is most prevalent in Game Worlds. I suggest that the system used for calculating ping is fixed so it represents a players ping accurately, and does not artificially lower ones connection to look better than it is.
It has affected my experience many times, not being able to know my true latency without guessing, and I imagine for many others too.
