I’m suggesting that the name of this achievement gets changed to something else because ‘Melon Muncher’ can be used as a racial slur.
Maybe ‘Melon Mania’ or something like that?
Its just an achievement… I just can’t believe you would think it could be used as such…

But it’s an achievement that has a slur as a name. In this case it wasn’t named that way with malice intent, but it can still cause some people to be offended. Especially since everyone is too sensitive nowadays.

I hate to break it to you but Ape, Crow, and Eggplant are also derogatory terms for black people. Do we have to stop using those words too? Context is everything.

those words can be derogatory but nobody is going to think that they are unless used in that context because those are all commonly used words elsewhere
this achievement name is a phrase that has only used in a derogatory context elsewhere so it would make sense for it to be changed due to it’s history - look up the terms that you listed above on google compared to the search results to the achievement name and you’ll see the difference
at the end of the day it’s just an achievement, changing the name is not going to upset anyone but it will make people feel better and i think that’s very important in a game focused around inclusivity and self expression

i whole-heartedly agree, it was definitely an accident from just not knowing/expecting that this phrase is what it is but i do hope it’ll get changed for that reason

Yeah this is really for the best. So many sensitive people these days that if you didn’t point it out someone way more sensitive would. I’m just sad that people have to think of it that way…

Yeah, this whole “woke” culture thing is definitely starting to get out of hand, that’s for sure. I miss the days when you didn’t have to constantly walk on eggshells, worrying about who you’re gonna offend next.
