AKA the “I am a customer, dammit!” update
If you see something that fancies you in any in-game store (that’s already an item you can buy), you can just walk up to it, see the price and buy it. Store UIs are still be a thing, this applies just to items that are already placed down in the Plaza. (Think the furniture in Sweet Suite, electronics in Central Circuit, etc)
Also, if you try to buy the Toy Shop’s catsack like this, a message pops up: “I’m sorry, but that’s not for sale. A mysterious cat showed up in the middle of the night and left it here. Maybe you can still find him around?”
That’s the suggestion.
