Extremely minor bug, but if you’re driving very fast and hit into some sort of barrier on the track, you occasionally see the “you are going backwards” text flash on the screen for a bit.
I’d guess it’s because going fast enough and hitting into a barrier causes your kart to bounce backwards, which gets falsely registered as driving backwards on the track.
