I believe Game World Ports needs more things to do or just not be so barren of life in design. Everywhere around old Gmod Tower Game Worlds Ports, there were benches, tabletop games, plants and the whole place looked much better overall. Yes, I know, Game World Ports has changed it’s purpose since Gmod Tower times but there are still those of us that would appreciate having something to do while we wait for a game to begin or more people to come over and join waiting queue. Not everyone likes to go out to other places in the Plaza to wait and I believe this could appeal such people without harming anyone or the game itself. Having said that, I believe making Game World Ports a bit more of a social space would be a step in great direction, even if the building itself remains unchanged. And even if we don’t make it more of a social space, especially considering the whole Plaza is generally much more alive with way more things to do than it used to offer in Gmod Tower times or even beginnings of Tower Unite itself, some decorations could be nice. Really, in my eyes at least, anything go a long way to improve that space just a little bit.
Well, there use to be a big ol’ Game World Matchmaking TU use to have. But they got rid of it. I wish I still had a photo but yeah.

Personally, I would like to use the center teleporter area a lot more. I think we could reduce that teleporter size by a lot and fill it in with a few more things to hang out within that.
But with the redesign, we wanted to make the Game World ports a quick hang out area, the idea being you wouldn’t be there all too long as you’d be hopping into a Game World instead.
In GMT you’d have to wait an even longer time for games as there was only 1 server per Game World, but in Tower anyone can start a Game World server.
Hopefully once we get the rest of the work in progress stuff with the Plaza done (such as Bumper Cars and Dueling), we can do some more to the Game World ports gameplay wise. I’d be up for adding back Tic-Tac-Toe and Checkers, etc.
I think I may have had missed out on the phase when this type of lobby for Game Worlds Ports was a thing. I do remember seeing it from some older screenshots and things like that but I can’t remember ever using this one myself. Thanks for mentioning that!
I can get behind a different purpose. I think I really remembered GMT wrong with how Game Worlds functioned (the 1 server per game thing). Never honestly figured it worked like that. My initial thought for suggesting this was that there are just many different type of people who would appreciate the area for different things but ultimately you guys should decide what’s best for your game. Still, thank you for consideration. By the way, although I hope you guys do not mind that I ask about it here, could you possibly take a look at my question/discussion page for Accelerate’s point system? Barely anyone responded there so there’s still close to no information what are future plans with it. It would be greatly appreciated so thank you.
I’d love if they added a few of the niche games to the gameworld port server where its smoother and less laggy. Billiards, ski ball, a pinball machine perhaps. Stuff to keep a fidgity person busy while they wait for friends to arrive but can back out of at a moments notice.
