Black Screen when I try to run Mame 2010 roms

An issue I had with my Arcade roms that use the Mame 2010 core where they show a black screen without loading the game.

Steps to Reproduce

Before running one of the games that use the Mame 2010 core

When I selected one of the games that use the Mame 2010 core

What I expected to happen

The games running using the Mame 2010 core on my game

What happened

When I tried to run “Super Puzzle Bobble” or “Pac-Man 25th Anniversary Edition” on the Mame 2010 core, it shows a black screen and it doesn’t run at all. I tried to restart the core a few times but it doesn’t fix it.

Notes / Media

This might be an problem with my computer not wanting to run the Mame 2010 core as I use a Samsung DESKTOP-NS1ETGG laptop to run Tower Unite.

Heya I wanted to bump this issue. I might be a newbie and not know what I’m doing, though I’d like to say that I did research into it to see what all I could be missing and maybe I just don’t know for sure.

In the exact same fashion as this report, I have experienced the same issue however I am using the Lightgun cabinet. I have provided screenshots to hopefully give photo context to experiencing the same issue. I’ve seen in my experimenting when cabinets won’t load ROMs, it flashes a “Failed to Load Content” screen instead and this isn’t that from what I’ve seen.

The games you are trying to run do not work for MAME 2010, you will have to use the Naomi versions of them.

Dang okay, thanks though! Saves me the trouble of wondering why it won’t work.
