[Ball Race Custom Map Workshop] Ball Race RC used for testing has different physics than actual test mode

Hello,

Not sure if this has been posted before, but when testing a custom ball race map in the workshop condo, the RC ball race ball can be used by clicking on the starting point. This ball has different physics than the actual test mode, it seems to have much higher velocity than the test mode. This makes it a little bit more inconvenient to test, because instead of just going to the start point, you have to keep loading and unloading the actual test instance.

I haven’t used the ball race workshop feature much yet, but in the very little time I’ve spent with it, this has been a pretty big point of inconvenience and the velocity difference is very noticeable. Not a bug or huge priority, but since the feature is there, it would be nice if the velocities were the same

Thank you

In what way are they different have you noticed? I’ve made their mass and velocities the same as the Ball Race one.

I was working on a map that involved a lot of airborne time and bouncing off of walls. The RC version seems to gain a lot more momentum, that’s the best way I can describe it. As far as duplicating it, if you set up a series of platforms, each one lower than the next and spaced apart so that you have to “bounce” from one to another, and space them so holding “W” will get you to each one most of the time, you can then tell a difference between the momentum. It usually means that, at least for the small levels I was working on, I had to redesign certain jumps to fit the playtest ball, because only the RC ball could make the jumps

So this is the RC Orb, not the placeable Ball Race Orb item for SDK?
