Auto Bhop could be an option for the Plaza/Condo. It is helpful to just be able to hold down the spacebar to automatically jump when you land. This could be an option in settings or perhaps an auto hop item that you equip. I am not very good at timing jumps and this could make bhopping more accessible for bhop maps that people may make in their condo’s.

It would make travelling around the lobby much more fun than just the Jetpack + Magic Trampoline.

I think an autojumping item is the best option here since items are only allowed in Condos and the lobby which is exactly where it should be used

There was a Bhopper item being worked on, But it got cancelled and instead they put bhop into the game itself

I don’t think there should be an item for autojumping. If you are not able to time your jumps, then learn to do it.

Isn’t the timing of the jump part of the skill though? A friend was confused when it wasn’t auto jumping and I was shocked that’s even a thing. Back when I played bhop on gmod(long time ago now) there was no autojumping where I played. If you can autojump then there’s almost no skill involved.
Just voicing my opinion about it, I feel like players would be split between for and against, I’d prefer the skilled way instead of an easy way, it does make it significantly harder but it’s certainly doable with enough practise.

Personally, I have tried bhopping with and without auto hop. I enjoy both but I don’t want to have to think most of the time when I bhop, I don’t see the harm of having auto as an option. I play more surf than bhop but when I go to play bhop I want to play it without having to struggle as much since I like to use it to relax. Condo owners could disable auto hop as an extra option if they really was against it.

I also want add that I usually play non-auto bhop with a scrollwheel, i’m considering adding an extra suggestion to have a possibility to allow that. I’m not sure if it is a controversial topic or not but it could be a plaza/condo only thing since i’m not sure if people believe that it is to overpowered. I am curious to hear peoples thoughts on that since most of the people I know play using scroll so I don’t have any other opinions who don’t play with scroll.
I used to bhop legit on Source before moving to exclusively auto on CSGO, they both have their merits. I still bhop legit on Hot Lava as that game only supports it but it’s pretty good at showing how accurate your hops are. Auto bhop is more of a speed thing and how you manage your strafing which is why most bhop servers have that primarily and legit as a side optional thing. I think having slightly more forgiving jumps is a good option which is like what is used in bhop games like Hot Lava. Or an autobhop item/option for plaza/condos could be good.

I see it as a fun way to navigate through the lobby or your condo.
I would love to make bhop courses in my condo.
They could do this, they just have to make it not work in game worlds.
Started work on one last night using the new square teleporter as a floor. Works fairly nicely but I still find the hopping quite inconsistent, going to have to practice more!

Same, it’s tough but it is possible, we could do with very slightly more forgiving jumps as you said.
The one let down is that we can’t make it so standing on a block for some time will teleport you, like proper bhop to prevent just jumping across normally and taking your time. But still can’t wait to see all the bhop maps people making!

Yeah I’ve also been wondering what kind of solution we can have for block teleporting. I think if we could get a teleporter delay option so you have to be on the teleporter for x amount of time before it teleports you could work. So you can still prespeed on a block as long as you don’t stop hopping.
