Basically, if you are a low skilled FPS game player and want to keep up with the tryhards (especially the ones that are always sweaty) that make up the SDNL player base, you’ll need auto aim fin order to keep up with them.
Hey, if Smart Driving can be in Mario Kart then Auto Aim can be in SDNL.
Sure, but like Mario Kart. The auto aimmer (Is that a word?) Should have like a tag or something that imply they’re using it. Maybe a red visor on the player?
Honestly, having a shotgun is more then enough, well for me anyway. lol

What happens when a tryhard uses auto aim?
Because there’ll be nothing preventing the people who want to win from using it.

Too true. But that doesn’t mean this shouldn’t be a thing anyway. I dunno, maybe above some level in SDNL you are no longer permitted to use it? Like, thanks to tracking the levels in Collection Book? Just throwing some ideas around but I’m not a game designer.

At this point, i’m sure players like Kobra are above any reasonable level to gate it like that.
While it would be nice for disability reasons, I just think it’s too extreme of a booster seat for other players to be able to enjoy playing with them, not to mention the inconsistency with various weapons.
Any auto aim would be especially problematic if it included high damage precision weapons like sniper rifles, soul camera, phase zapper, and decimator. This would make gametypes like space snipers, or the 1HP decimator mode extremely unbalanced in favor of anyone using auto aim. You’d basically be fighting against TF2 bots at that point.
And weapons like the hatchet, crossbow, and any explosive weapons would be basically unusable, since those require leading your shot. This would make winning gun game impossible if you had auto aim.
I’m not sure about this suggestion; I sucked at SDNL when they have raptors that panned us with an F rank.
Dude, shotguns are my default weapon of choice.

Nah, I don’t think this is it. Practice makes… better. Sorry to hear.
Practice does make one’s skill better, sure. But honestly, I believe we should still have this, considering not everyone is willing to or has the time to commit to such a thing. I know from myself that the only shooter game I ever cared to learn was Unreal Tournament 3, because that was amazing. All the rest, different styles like Unreal Tournament 2004, original Doom 1 and 2, Tower’s SDNL, it all just isn’t really quite for me. Virus is fairly alright and fun though, even if it’s faster paced than something like Unreal Tournament 3 though, not sure why. Anyway, getting off topic there, so I will just say it again: Let’s add this to the game. There’s no harm in doing so.

There’s a few things I can think of.
- Auto Aim Only works with low power weapons (Pistols, Shotguns, SemiAutoGuns
- Only Allow in Friend Mode. This will allow the host to decide to enable it before the game begins.
- Auto Aim only slowly adjust to be close enough to the center of the torso. Ergo, console Overwatch style.
It is strange to have it auto aim in a PC game now I think about it.
I wish there was a simple way to prevent bad actors using it. And honestly best way to solve this have new weapons that is helpful for low skill players instead.
Like a beam weapon that locks on to an enemy at close range. It is pistol damage that cannot headshot as it is lock into the center of the body.
