I think custom made signs would be a wonderful addition to my condo to label different teleporters and areas. However, I have no idea how to find cool fonts, or make things look nice. Trying to use text boxes in Krita or paint is an absolute nightmare. Any ideas?

Personally for my neon signs I just used text boxes in PowerPoint. If you’re looking for something more physical, you could take a wooden panel and have a canvas over it. You just need to customise your text box to your liking, for example, you can make it look like a stencil burned into the wood using fonts and changing the colours of the outline and glow. Then save your text box as an image, post it in a discord, open the image in a browser and copy paste the address into the canvas. Here’s an example of what I did for my (technically LED) signs:
