All Time Leaderboards

On one hand, it’s nice that Arcade Leaderboards are reset Weekly because it keeps things fresh, but… on the other hand, none of my friends have the motivation to set a highscore because it will be wiped so soon.

I think having Weekly & All Time Leaderboards throughout the Arcade would be great because then you can try for either.

In games that have an absolute maximum score, most recent score should go to #1 and so on, then each person has the opportunity to see themselves up there and they’ll gradually fall lower and lower as new scores get set.

Menu Idea

As for the menu idea, I really like the Gametype Menu for Planetary Piano and I was wondering if something like this could be done for the Leaderboards as well, if the All Times are added.

So E would still be to Refresh but then you would have G for “Change Leaderboard” and it opens up the options. I can see a few extra Leaderboards being viable this way too, “Most Jackpots” like in the Casino and stuff.

Most arcade games have a max score that you can get relatively easily with a few exceptions, so besides those it wouldn’t really make sense. There would just be hundreds of people tied for #1.

I did mention this in my post. Having the most recent scores appear from top to bottom would be the solution for this. That may even be what we have now in the Weekly version, I’m not good enough at any of the machines to test it.

As far as I can see there’s no downside, I think it would be a great addition.

I just don’t see the point at all. It’s a leaderboard. There’s nothing to compete over at that point. Nobody is going to be satisfied just because their name is at the top of the list when they did no better than the last person.

sole reason ppl go for weeklys on current boards otherwise no one would try, your argument doesnt make sense but thats an opinion, i like the idea and hope to see it
