i’m not sure how hard it would be to add but i think it would be a cool little addition
We used to have them but Tower’s web API used to, or still is shared with Steam’s web browser.
A certain update Steam did to it completely broke Youtube Streams within Tower, resulting in them not working, as well cutting support for watching Twitch streams.
There’ll be a solution somewhere, but it’s not intentional that they don’t work.
Bumping an older thread - this would be awesome.
I created an account just to bump this thread as well! I’m part of a community that hosts DJ/music events in VRChat and streams the events to Twitch for those who want to listen without joining in-game. If Tower Unite supported YouTube live streams, we could easily multi-stream the events to YouTube, allowing me to play them in the nightclub here.
I don’t use VR and prefer Tower Unite over VRChat any day, so this feature would be a game-changer for me. It could also potentially attract more players, as other communities or artists could host events directly in the game. I’d love to see this implemented!
