A new global rule against AI generated content

It doesn’t matter if it’s the discord, the forums, reddit, the steam community message boards, and it doesn’t matter if it takes the form of text posts or images

Put simply:-

The generative AI slop needs to stop

This is non-negotiable

Everything that Web3 produces is utter garbage that ultimately harms something or someone in one way or an other

Crypto and NFTs contribute to gross levels of CO2 emissions despite what the insufferable douche-canoe tech bros would have you otherwise believe

It is well known that generative AI slop plagiarises the work of others, with corporations like Meta training a model on terabytes of pirated books for example

Even entire open source repositories have succumbed to AI generated bug reports

Dead Internet Theory is real as legions of LLM bots talk to each other on Facebook and X

Do we want that happening here?

THANK YOU FOR SAYING IT!!! As an artist myself, I’m honestly so in shock at how much AI there is / is being used by Tower Unite players and I’m glad I’m not the only one bothered by it! I sure hope a rule can be implemented for Tower Unite spaces/platforms where AI slop is not allowed. I hope that’s not a big ask.

I’m an artist myself, never been a fan of AI slop either so i’m glad to see people agree  i have huge respect for artists and animators in general; they carried us on video games, artworks, movies, animation, and so on and we need them. I strongly believe that AI is not the way forward

AI can be fun to mess with and helpful. I think AI isn’t something people should be necessarily afraid to experiment with.

As long as people make it very clear that they are using AI I don’t have an issue with it. If you are trying to pass it off as your art like a lot of people do or if it’s simply an AI bot that tries to pass itself off as a real person that is where I have a major issue.
