As we know, GM Tower was loved beyond belief.This is why we should have a Gmod server made as memorial, You go on to the server and you walk around seeing signs that tell you about how the developers planned the Games, casino, and everything. You cannot enter any buildings but you can ride the ferris wheel, Theres a catch to the ferris wheel. When you ride it a cam shot over everything plays, Making the user remember everything from the GM Tower, I think this would be a great thing for GM Tower.

There will never, EVER, be a GMTower server of any kind ever again. I’m pretty sure the devs have said this several times now.

I could see a community member undertaking a task like this, but I doubt the developers have time to make something like this a reality. It’s a neat idea, though; much better than the usual “Bring back GMT!” suggestions.

You see my friend, it will never happen. If any form of remake were to release whether or not coded from scratch, Mac would take it down as he has done to many other fan projects multiple times (the fan projects that were planned to be released publicly) its a sad truth but I reckon if you wait a bit more for Tower Unite to get modding support, we’ll get one for sure.

There are many threads that all ask for something like this to happen, to either bring back GMT or to have a a server that memorializes GMT. Like the others have said, I do not think this will ever happen. Even if someone tried, Mac may try to take it down like he has done with similar things in the past. So simply put, no, this will not happen.
Still a better suggestion than all the previous bring back GMT suggestions, but this is not happening either. Pixeltail Games is not making anything in Garry’s Mod anymore, they are done with that topic.
Just wait for workshop support when Tower Unite is released. There will inevitably be remakes of the Gmod Tower maps, playermodels, etc.

Most of the old GMT maps were saved to the computers of those who played it. If you want to experience it again so badly just load up the old maps yourself on your own server. While many things wouldn’t work you’d still be able to experience to maps for nostalgic reasons. If you don’t have the maps on Gmod anymore just ask someone who does.
Heck, I’ve easily hosted my own private version of GMT where everything worked. Any progress that was made when GMT was up wasn’t possible to keep but I was able to make it work. I had to jerry rig some stuff here and there using some of my own stuff but I got it working. I could host permanantly if I wanted but I unfortunately have a full time job and real world obligationsand lack the reasources for long term hosting.
Not only that, Mac provided links of zip packages which contain all GMT lobby maps ever and some unreleased stuff. Not sure if it contains the Lobby 2 maps, but it is still a valuable piece of history.

I see these types of threads all the time. Every thread talks about how GMT is dead, etc. When in reality, it’s not. Tower Unite is GMT, just being built from the ground up again. GMT wasn’t good because it was on Garry’s Mod. It was good because of its community and its developers.
And, no, this isn’t me pushing a product. GMT meant a lot to me (and the team) but all our effort and love had to go into Tower Unite to continue the project.
If we didn’t get crowdfunded, Tower Unite would not exist and GMT would have been shut down anyways. You’d never see Tower ever again.
But, it worked out, thanks to all our backers! Tower Unite was funded and now we can finally do the things we’ve always wanted to do and with all our focus and love. All the ideas and enthusiasm from GMT go directly into Tower Unite. Because Tower Unite isn’t just a sequel, it’s a continuation of GMT.
So, you really can’t do a memorial yet. We aren’t done with Tower.
