Fog looks significantly different in some maps on DirectX 11 and DirectX 10. This has been apparent in some official maps (ex. Acrophobia) for a while, but it’s especially obvious when using Sky Volumes in condos.
Mainly, on DirectX 10:
- Volumetric fog is seemingly never enabled (always looks as if Fog Intensity is set to 0)
- Fog Color is never used, or “near fog” is just never visible; only Fog Distance Color is used

Screenshots were taken in the current public beta version (1.0.1.0), but it looks like this in the current stable version too.
If this was an intentional optimization or it’s just not easily fixable, it’d be nice to have some kind of bandaid fix for condos and workshop maps, at least. Like, a toggle on sky volumes to only be visible for players using DirectX 10 or 11 or something, so the fog can be manually adjusted for both DX versions. If that is a thing that can be done.
