First of all; congratulations on getting a lot of desync bugs fixed/ironed out + I’m genuinely impressed and very pleased with progress!! I think this is one of the last few remaining ones. Turns out it’s the one I experienced desync most.
It involves holding on object’s gizmo arrows + tapping space (it closes Manipulate window but also desyncs the object you’re using gizmo arrows on. Only in someone else’s condo) also my apologies; this is a bit tricky to explain.
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to someone’s condo with full builder permissions
- Place a object (I use canvas cube)
- Click that object
- Pick Move, Rotate, or Scale on Manipulate window.
- See the red/green/blue arrows/rings; hold onto them and edit the object on position, rotation, or scale and tap space (while holding on gizmo arrows/rings still).
- If done correctly; object becomes desynced.
example: object is enlarged; still acts like smaller with rubberbanding collision. Same thing happens when object is moved or rotated.
What I expected to happen
Game updates/syncs the changes you made to the object after tapping space
[OR]
Tapping space doesn’t make you close Manipulate window.
What happened
As you hold on gizmo arrows then tapping space to jump closes Manipulate window and desyncs the object on your end.
Notes / Media
This will happen 100% of time. I made a habit tapping space to close Manipulate window (to improve my workflow) so many times without realizing this was the sole reason why I experienced desync all the time. haha lol
This only happens when you’re a visitor in someone else’s condo.
Works fine when you’re your own host in your condo.
Also, this only happens WHEN you are /actively/ HOLDING on the gizmo arrows and tap space; desyncs happens.
Works fine if you let gizmo arrows go then tap space afterward.
In the video, I’m doing this as guest in friend’s condo.
On first attempt, I let gizmo arrows go then tap space to make close Manipulate window- doesn’t desync.
On 0:12, I tap space while holding gizmo arrows; it desyncs. Watch how my character interact with desynced object and the original position of object.
Here’s a video of desync on scale and rotation from tapping space while holding on gizmo arrows/rings.
