Well sitting around in a fishing bowl is no life for a fish with big ambitions they want to see the world.
Put a glass plate on the top of the bowl and scale it appropriately.
I have this same problem in the resort aquarium. The one in the atrium (largest one) sends all the fish out the top to flop around on the floor above it.
the rest of the aquariums in that condo just don’t work. The bar area aquarium, pond by the cabin, lake outside bounds don’t work either. Fish just flop as if there’s no water there. Distressing to watch
