This has been a bug for a while, but not sure how long. I hadn’t seen it reported elsewhere. Since there’s no way to edit the position of the viewpoint, lots of player models are stuck with their viewpoint in the shoulders/chest/neck area.
Steps to Reproduce
Upload a custom player model.
Go close to a wall/object
When wearing the model, zoom close to the model in 3rd person and use the right-click look-around function to observe what you should be looking at.
Zoom in closer and notice how the camera zooms into the shoulders rather than the head.
Go into first person view and notice that the part of the wall/object you’re seeing is different from where your head is looking.
What I expected to happen
I expect the view of the world to be linked to where the head is rather than the shoulders.
What happened
This is mostly a visual bug. Not sure if it has any affect on aiming.
Notes / Media
Here’s what it looks like with my own model.
You can see from this angle I should be seeing the center of the circle in my view, but in first person I see the bottom of the circle instead.
