Yes, I know this sounds really stupid, but I’ve never had any issue like this in any other game, so I’m 99% sure this is a tower issue.
Pressing the voice chat key crashes the entire steam client when running tower through proton. This happens in plazas, in condos, and even in the main menu somehow.
This issue did not exist in the previous patch.
Steps to Reproduce
Launch the game in proton (I tested 9, experimental, and GE) and press x.
What I expected to happen
My beautiful voice to be transmitted to the entire plaza as I shout obscenities at the giant crab for not processing my holiday coin payments.
What happened
My entire steam client dies.
Notes
Prior to this update, I also have had an issue where my client will die if I try to view someone’s profile from the steam overlay friends list. This also happened only when playing tower and not in any other game, but I never reported it as I assumed it was probably an steam issue. Either way, it seems to have resolved itself, but I thought it may be relevant enough to include here.
