[0.18.4.0] SDNL: Hatchet / ranged kills are not counted for achievements

Two bugs in one report.

  • Hatchet’s melee kills are not counted towards ‘Tight Shot’ (melee kills) or ‘Wide Shot’ (ranged kills) achievements.
  • A lot of kills using many different ranged weapons doesn’t seem to count towards ‘Wide Shot’ achievement.

I tested all of other melee weapons like Toy Hammer, Katana, etc and they’re all counted towards ‘Tight Shot’ achievement- just not the Hatchet.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Kill anyone with a Hatchet
  • Kill anyone with certain ranged weapons
  • Check your Achievements progress on either ‘Tight Shot’ or ‘Wide Shot’

What I expected to happen

I expect kills with hatchet/ranged weapons to count towards either ‘Tight Shot’ or ‘Wide Shot’ achievements.

What happened

Whenever you kill using the hatchet / certain ranged weapons, kills weren’t counted towards ‘Tight Shot’ (melee kills) and ‘Wide Shot’ (ranged kills) achievements.


Notes / Media

Unless I’m missing something obvious- either we need a clearer definition for ‘Wide Shot’ instead of “Get 100 ranged kills” or it is a bug.

I didn’t test every ranged weapon but all of ones I used didn’t count such as Decimator, Soul Camera, Minigun, Bowling Shotgun, Grav Glove, Flamethrower, and Cannon.

Additionally; I tested this as non-host at the time if that means anything.
