[0.18.1.1] Upscaled Japanese Cherry trees causes lag

I worked on a new Ball Race forest map and used a lot of trees and upscaled them. I noticed a big drip in fps; it was [Japanese Cherry] trees specifically. Other trees like [Red Maple] and [Kousa Dogwood] trees doesn’t cause lag since they doesn’t have wind animation.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Enter Condo / Map Editor
  • Place a handful of massive (upscaled) [Japanese Cherry] trees

What I expected to happen

No lag when using upscaled [Japanese Cherry] trees.

What happened

Fps takes a big drip when looking at massive [Japanese Cherry] trees.

Notes / Media

[Japanese Cherry] trees have wind animation on their leaves, I think it’s worse when upscaled while other certain plants like [Ferns Large] doesn’t seem to cause lag.

Notice the solid 60 on top right.

I think it’s because [Japanese Cherry] trees have a lot of parts with wind animation while [Ferns Large] has fewer OR is animated as one wind animation as whole.

Additionally; I did the same test duplicating normal sized [Japanese Cherry] trees up to 25 and no drip in fps.

My suggestion is adding [a toggle option] to turn off wind animation on [Japanese Cherry] trees and other plant life that has wind animation like flowers, ferns, etc

It’s possible that there are other trees that may cause lag when upscaled (or in general if there is many) which is why I think it’d be nice to have a wind toggle option on trees, plants, flowers, etc
