About a week ago now I was eager to try out the updated VR alpha but ran into a similar problem to many other players in that I could not interact with the menu at all. I would restart the game multiple times over the next couple of days, selecting ‘Launch VR Alpha’ of course, but it would keep loading me into the VR starting area with no way of activating the menu. I read through some Discord conversations and found people were having some luck by rebinding their controls, so I decided to purchase OVR Advanced Settings per some users’ suggestions and loaded up Tower Unite VR. Except this time the game wouldn’t load at all, on my computer was a black screen and in the headset I was stuck in Steam VR loading limbo. Strangely, the menu music would still play despite there seemingly being nothing to see or interact with, so clearly some part of the game was running. I tried restarting multiple times to the same effect; I never even opened OVR Advanced Settings while it ran so I have no idea what I could have done differently to cause this. I’d post a screenshot but I don’t think a black rectangle would help much in deducing the cause of this. I also hoped the recent hot fix would resolve my situation but it is still all the same. I have scanned the integrity of the game and found no corrupted files. I have not uninstalled and reinstalled the game yet as I am saving that as a last possible solution.
If anyone in the community has had a similar issue and knows a solution, or if a dev has the time to help me through this, that would be much appreciated. Thanks!
