[0.17.6.0] HTC VIVE Cosmos Elite/Controller (2018) unsupported

What happened

The in-game controller models appear merged together at the waist origin of my player model and are completely motionless. Directional inputs are registered by the game, but the position of the controllers means it is impossible for me to progress to the plaza or the condo hub. The first screen when using VR informs me that I am supposed to press a certain button, but I have tried every button and nothing works the way it states it should. Pressing the bottom button on my controller opens the SteamVR dashboard, and shows me that my controllers are fully functional in it, plus they work for other games. (Also my player model’s head is shrunken in when looking through the reflective surfaces in the first VR screen.)

Hardware required to reproduce

  • HTC VIVE Cosmos Elite headset
  • 2 x HTC VIVE Controller (2018)s
  • 2 x HTC VIVE Base Station 1.0s

What I expected to happen

I should be able to use my controllers and enter the plaza without issue.

I’ve been currently working on resolving this issue. There’s something wrong with VR not registering motion controls ever since we upgraded our Unreal 4 engine version. I’ve been able to get it to function in our editor, which is good progress so far.
