[0.17.5.0] Interact Not working

some of the carnival/condo interact things such as keypad, buttons, or latters, milk toss, and dart throw.

It seems to be a certain ammount of people that have it so idk if it can be reproduced by staff

for me to interact with said things

I was not able to interact with these mentioned things, in order for me to interact with the carnival i have to spam the interact button

I’m confused by the video because the interact key is working.

For example, if you join a Milk Jug Toss game and then quickly leave it, it’ll wait a bit before letting a player join it again.

What I’m seeing here is netlag when you press Use on a machine, it’s taking a bit before it puts you on to the game, which isn’t the best, but it is functioning. It seems like you have a ping over 250ms to the Plaza server.

Edit: We have confirmed the issue and have a way to reproduce it. It’s related to size potions or smaller avatars. We are working on a fix.

This bug is happening a lot in condos too, it’s almost impossible to use keypads. Sometimes they don’t work and other times they take too long to register the number you’re pressing

For condos I will say that I was having trouble interacting with quite a few things in @Nuclearxpotato’s condo the other night when the update dropped–I experienced it refusing me to hit the 1 key on a keypad and then I think it registered accept multiple times instead, certain physics objects (a workshop model of a ruby and the base-game battery item) didn’t want to get picked up, and certain toilets wouldn’t want to flush. I had also noticed the toilets not wanting to flush in someone else’s condo prior–not sure if it was in 0.17.4.0 or one of the earlier builds of 0.17.5.0.

I am having this issue when a guest in other condos. The solution is generally to look down at the item and interact and it will work but this consistency seems to be weird if I take off my small or tiny potion. Its most notable on instruments but it happens with any interactable item. I have to get close and look straight down at the item for it to work. This is not an issue if I am host though.

Visitors in my condo have been experiencing this bug as well since the MIDI/Xmas update dropped. It almost seems like players are interacting with items higher than their cursor aims at. A few visitors and I tested some theories on a column of three default-sized buttons on a wall, like this:

After some testing, a few visitors and I found that if they press the bottom button, they will activate the middle or top button instead! Same thing goes for all interactable items such as doors, physics items, and the Resort map’s teleporters. It seemed to be worse if the player had a tiny potion on.

We also noticed if a visitor is pointing a laser pointer at the bottom button on their screen, the dot on my (host’s) screen shows it hitting the button above it as well.

Weapons don’t seem to be affected by this, they shoot exactly where they want on both visitor and host’s ends.

All buttons and such work perfectly fine if host is doing it.

Hope this info helps!

Friends in my condo are unable to interact with random objects.

Can confirm, tried using a keypad in someone else’s condo, inputs weren’t registering consistently

what happens is, when i walk up to it, it just doesnt let me play it when i press it, but when i spam it it allows it

i wasnt wearing a potion in the video

I’ve had multiple people telling me they couldn’t read the book with condo rules. Might be related to same issue.

I’ve had people getting inside the Wooden Chest, shutting themselves in, and complaining that they’re unable to get out, and I have to intervene, I should mention that no potions were being used

I dunno it’s related at all. On top of that, Every prop that should have collision, is remove as well as nothing can be edit. It’s strange.

i click e it dosent do anything
