Stream suggestion: upload past streams to YouTube the easy way

Hey @macdguy,

I enjoy watching your streams. But sadly you guys stream at around a time where I’m always asleep. Of course I can rewatch it on Twitch but it’s more convenient for most of us to watch it on YouTube.
And if you have any performance concers about recording while streaming and showing something, there is a solution. You can use the Python tool Livestreamer to download your own streams: https://slicktechies.com/how-to-watchrecord-twitch-streams-using-livestreamer/
By doing this you make watching past streams a bit more comfortable and your streams are archived as well!

Thank you for your attention!

They used to put the streams on their youtube channel but don’t seem to do it anymore, it would be nice to bring it back though.

Yeah I know that’s what I’m hoping for

I’m willing to edit down the streams down to 15-minute, easily-watchable chunks in return for them going up on the YouTube channel (probably labeled as “Bi-Weekly Updates” instead of full streams).

I record every stream locally. The only reason I haven’t put them on YouTube is that I don’t know if I should spam the YouTube with all of the streams plus it’s a lot of editing and exporting.

It’s just time out of the day.

If I didn’t have lots of other things to do, I would upload them.

Maybe I’ll have a weekend that’s just chill, but right now I’m deep in casino slots.

@macdguy Busy as usual I see . I think it would be fine if you copy the Stream onto a secondary machine, open up Vegas or Premiere (whatever you use), remove the long pause in the beginning and at the end and export it using a profile. IMO no fancy editing required.
I think most of your subscribers would appreciate it if you were uploading the Stream every second weekend on the main channel rather than complaining about it.

Make a secondary PTG channel, just for full streams

Yeah, that’s what I did for the beginning ones. It takes a long time to export.

Boom

There’s no need to bump the thread at this point. Stream VOD’s are now quickly uploaded to their youtube channel shortly after they air. :yum:

Personally I prefer the Youtube player anyways, The Twitch player takes a lot longer to buffer the video, while the Youtube one is pretty much instant.
