If I’m right, there’ll be phones (I’m pretty sure there will be a cell phone, but a smart/“up-to-date” phone?) and I thought it would be cool to listen to Soundcloud where ever you go. Nothing to fancy, but similar to how CondOS will work. You could set the volume, too (maybe you could bind keys to change volume?).

There’s an ingame model you can spawn in the item playground. Unless it’s just something to put on your coffee table, I’d say it’s confirmed.
Neat, haven’t tried any of the weekly updates so that’s good to know.

i want this idea, no more youtube or morphvox open in the background of your game, making you crash when you alt-tab too quickly, just an ingame phone to listen music on with your earphones

That’s a maybe. They had big losses but no confirmation yet.

There most likely won’t be any phone support simply because fishing was voted over it.
People wanted fishing more than a phone?
Out of all the options that would be my last choice. 
Yeah well it’s a bit too late now. And since this was a stretch goal pick, phones will most likely not be a thing.

I’m not disappointed, nor did I actually want a phone to be in Tower, but I like the idea of listening to Soundcloud where ever you go.
I know what you mean. But couldn’t you just have sound-cloud in a tab on a browser? I mean, the only reason why sound-cloud support is happening is to listen to music with your friends in your condo.

With a phone there could be the option to “connect it to your condo stereo”
If anything, I’d say, in my opinion, it makes Tower more relaxing
For example, you could be in the casino, and open up some kind of Soundcloud gui from there.
Or, you could open a new tab, and change your music from there, too.
It’s kinda hard to explain, but if you were in full screen or had a slower computer, I’d think there would be benefits.
It also makes the environment all the more cozy, if you know what I mean.
But, I see what you mean. Don’t take this as a rant or anything along those lines. 
If you had a slow computer then you shouldn’t be able to play tower unite anyway. It’s very demanding at this current state. Just saying.
But the smart move is to use windowed borderless which was added a few updates ago thanks to a few demanding users.
